A 2019 Speedmaster Professional with the calibre 1861 movement and hesalite crystal — the configuration flown on Apollo missions and the one most collectors ultimately return to. Discontinued in favour of the 3861 co-axial version, which means this is now the last of a fifty-year production run. At HK$38,500 against HK$52,900 retail for the current model, it is the strongest value case in our inventory.

Case: light hairlines across the brushed top surfaces from wear; twisted lugs retain good definition with no evidence of heavy polishing.

Bezel: black aluminium tachymetre insert with sharp printing; two microscopic edge nicks at the 40 and 55 markers, disclosed.

Crystal: original hesalite with characteristic domed distortion; light surface hairlines that would polish out easily.

Dial and hands: stepped black dial flawless, sub-dial printing crisp, tritium-free lume plots even.

Strap: original Omega black leather strap with signed steel buckle; light wear at the buckle holes.

Movement: calibre 1861 running +5 seconds per day, chronograph functions correctly with clean reset to zero.

Authentication

Caseback opened and calibre 1861 confirmed with correct Omega finishing, rhodium plating, and matching serial. Dial printing examined at 40x — correct font weight and applied logo seating. Hesalite crystal confirmed original by profile and material response. Card details cross-referenced with case serial. Chronograph timed against a reference standard over a full 12-hour cycle.

Pricing rationale

Current retail for the successor 3861 Moonwatch is HK$52,900. Completed sales for full-set 1861 examples in Very Good condition ran HK$35,000–HK$43,000 over ninety days. We are priced at HK$38,500, mid-band, which accounts for the full set and recent service on the positive side and the light bezel edge nicks and strap wear on the negative. Speedmasters are produced in volume, so we are candid that this is a watch to wear rather than an appreciation play — value retention is solid, but it is not a Daytona.
